The date: Saturday, April 18, 2015 - 6am–6pm
The venue: Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park http://www.playnapa.com
/ in beautiful Napa, California. The course will be completely closed and ours for the entire day. The course is tree lined, has some gentle rolling hills, is fairly challenging, and should be very close to 5 miles per round.
Participants will play as many holes as possible in a 12 hour period, on foot, carrying their own equipment. Those finishing at least 8 complete rounds, 144 holes, in the allotted time will receive a very special commemorative award. The Ultra event will be held in conjunction with a 'regular golf' scramble on the same day at Eagle Vines Golf Course in Napa. Shortly following completion of play there will be a banquet and silent auction held with these other OM supporters as well at Eagle Vines.
Participants commit to raising $5000 to play in this first time, one-of-a-kind event. Of the $5000 or more that you raise, up to half of the total amount can go to the charity of your choice with the other half going to A Cure in Sight, a 501c3 non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting those afflicted with Ocular Melanoma.
More information, including specifics on getting your fundraising page set-up, will be coming in the next few weeks. Please respond to email@example.com with your intent to participate or if you have any questions.
